If you lead a mission-driven social enterprise looking to scale a proven impact model, you’ve come to the right place! The Miller Center’s globally recognized accelerator program in Silicon Valley helps leaders develop pathways to scale and prepare for the next level of investment.

With a proven curriculum, and accompanied by their distinguished executive mentors and leadership coaches, all will work together to identify and address gaps and opportunities in your business, and develop a plan of action so you can realize your vision for organizational growth.

The Miller Center Accelerator is designed for high-potential social enterprises with proven traction, working on women’s economic empowerment, climate resilience, or the intersection of the two. This 6-month accelerator program combines mentorship with structured courses to help social entrepreneurs address gaps in their impact models, business models, and growth strategies, and ultimately propel them along the path of growth, significant scale, and investment. road ahead.

  • business model: Unit Economics, Average Selling Price (ASP), Gross Margin/Contribution Ratio. Income and spending drivers. Break-even point, profit and loss (P&L) and cash flow. Benchmark business growth rate.
  • Marketing and Sales Strategy: Target market, opportunity size, local market dynamics, value proposition and channels. Sales effectiveness/efficiency. Product differentiation, barriers to competition, market expansion.

Applicants should

  • Be a senior leader (e.g. CEO, Executive Director, Managing Director);
  • Fluent in English;
  • have consistent and reliable access to an internet connection;
  • A 6-month program is available and requires an average of 4-6 hours per week.

Organizational Requirements

  • Committed to creating positive benefits for people living in poverty and achieving one or more of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals
  • Is a social enterprise interested in supporting women’s economic empowerment, climate resilience, or both?
  • Committed to expanding its solutions well beyond current operations
  • Has been in operation for at least one year and is providing products/services to customers
  • Have an annual income of at least $20,000 (or equivalent in local currency) and do not rely solely on donations or grants
  • At least 3 full-time paid employees (or equivalent)
  • Have a cash runway of at least 3 months.

Additional Information

  • Climate Resilience: Social enterprises meet the needs of the poor who are disproportionately affected by climate change.Their climate resilience focus area falls into one of three categories:
    • Energy – providing affordable, reliable and sustainable modern energy
    • Water – ensuring availability and sustainable management of water and sanitation
    • Climate Smart Agriculture – Implementing sustainable food production systems and resilient farming practices to increase productivity and yield
  • Women’s Economic Empowerment: Social enterprises that focus on women’s economic empowerment can be identified through one or more of the following areas (preferably four):
    • Social business leaders: The main participants are women who are founders, CEOs or other senior leaders with decision-making power.
    • employee: This business model is intended to create more employment opportunities for women in the business.
    • Value Chain Contributors: The organization is creating more and more business opportunities for women along its value chain (for example, using a village sales agency model that is more suited to the lifestyles of female villagers or buying products made by women).
    • customer: The design is mainly for female customers. In this context, “customers” are those who are positively impacted by the business.
