Amber Heard announced on Instagram in July 2021 that she secretly welcomed baby girl Oonagh Paige Heard through a surrogate mother, who is both “mom and dad”.

“Four years ago, I decided to have a baby,” she wrote July 1st last year“I want to do it my way. I now appreciate how radical it is for us as women to think this way about one of the most fundamental parts of our destiny. I hope we can get to a point where we don’t want to be in order to have Wearing a ring in the crib.”

She said her daughter was born on April 8, 2021. In another Instagram post, Hurd hugged her daughter, both staring at a computer screen. “I’m just mom and dad. She’s the boss,” she wrote on July 21, 2021.

Three days before Una’s first birthday, Hurd had to appear in Circuit Court in Fairfax County, Virginia, to begin his defamation trial against Johnny Depp.
“My little O turns one today,” she wrote on April 8, alongside a photo of herself and her daughter playing with pink balloons on the floor. “I still can’t believe you’re here. Greatest year ever.”
Depp Heard is being sued in Fairfax County Circuit Court for $50 million, Virginiabecause she called herself a victim of domestic abuse in a 2018 Washington Post op-ed.

He said the painting, which did not name him, ruined his reputation and career. Hurd is countersuing for $100 million, alleging Depp and his lawyers defamed her, calling her allegations a “hoax.”
In her testimony, she mentioned her daughter more than once. “I want to move on with my life. I have a child. I have to move on. I want to move on and I want Johnny to move on,” she told jurors.
Oonagh’s middle name may be in honor of Heard’s mother, Paige Heard, who passed away in May 2020. The name Oonagh is of Irish origin and means lamb.
Friends told Page Six that Hurd used surrogacy because she couldn’t carry her own child, and that the “Aquaman” actress was proud to be Una’s only legal parent.
She did not reveal the identity of the child’s father or sperm donor – but there has been speculation online that her ex-boyfriend, Tesla CEO Elon Musk, may be the father.
A former friend of Heard’s sister Whitney Henriques Heard wrote a statement that was filed by Depp’s team as part of a defamation case but has not yet been introduced as evidence.

Jennifer Howell said she had a chat with Hurd’s late mother when she visited Henriks. “Page told me that Amber said Elon was controlling, abusing, and that she was in a legal battle with him over the rights of the embryos they co-created,” she wrote in court documents.

Depp has accused Hurd of infidelity with Musk during their marriage — an allegation she and the SpaceX founder have denied. A spokesman for Musk did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
