Best time to buy: According to U.S. News & World Report, February and August are your best times to buy furniture. That’s because new furniture typically hits showrooms around the end of winter and summer, so stores often try to clear their inventory to prepare for it. Nerdwallet researched average room rates and found that the best time to book a hotel room is 15 days. For what it’s worth, they point out that doing so is only 13% cheaper on average, so you should factor that into your budget accordingly.
