She and Rebecca chalked four square courts on the sidewalk. Afterwards, the family watched a video of Kevin, Kate and Randall singing the Big Three for the first time as toddlers. Unfortunately, Kevin and Randall continued to struggle.
Rebecca found Kevin in his room and he told her he was angry because he couldn’t do pull-ups in the gym. She told him, “Not everything is going to be easy for you. I think you have to work really hard to be who I know you can be.” Kevin told her that she always knew the perfect words to say.
Randall accidentally confesses to Jack why he doesn’t do the math. His teacher made him sit down because Randall pulled a kid’s chair from under him and turned his attention to him when another kid made fun of the hair on his face. So Jack teaches Randall and Kevin to shave. In that moment, he told them that Kate longed to do all these “baby” things because she knew how to appreciate the little moments.
The family then played with pins on the donkey, which they originally got when the kids were babies, because the picture on the box looked like the Big Three. Jack and Rebecca watch, Rebecca tells him that as a parent he is “10” and Jack says she is “12”.
