Curry had 32 points, six 3-pointers and eight rebounds, Rooney had a career-high 21 points and 12 rebounds, and the Warriors beat the Dallas Mavericks 126-117 on Friday to take a 2-0 lead in the Western Conference finals .
“I’m honored to be a part of that,” Rooney said.

Doncic went 12-of-23 from the field and shined in a great shooting game — the Warriors shot 56.1 percent from the field. In the first half alone, Dallas improved Golden State’s 3-point percentage from 52.3 percent to 51.2 percent, including a staggering 55.6 to 53.3 percent.

Rooney then scored 11 points on 5-of-6 shooting in the third quarter as Golden State beat Dallas 68-45 after halftime.
“It’s the Warriors. They have a great team. They’re a championship team. We have to adjust our defense,” Doncic said. “…We went up 19, so it was tough. But we couldn’t look back. What happened, happened. So we have to keep going.”
The series moves to Dallas for Game 3 on Sunday. The Golden State Warriors returned to the NBA Finals for the first time since five straight games in the 2015-19 season with two wins.
“We were going up against one of the best teams in the league. It happened. They held the serve,” Mavericks coach Jason Kidd said. “We’ve seen that in Phoenix, so now we have to go back and focus on Game 3.”
