inverse: Obi-Wan Kenobi Tagged as a six-part limited series, but given that Star Wars is such a vast universe, was it a challenge to create an inclusive story?

Deborah Weeks: One of the things I’m really happy about is making a limited series. We’re trying to tell a big story, and the limited format fits perfectly. It gives you a bigger canvas and you have more time to get into the character. But it is also contained, and it has an end. So we really appreciate the limited format.

Kathleen Kennedy recently talked about Star Wars recast cast Play a younger version. What’s your take on this?

Trying to pick a younger version is always tricky, especially for someone who’s become an incredibly iconic character. It’s never been easy. Obviously, Ivan did that years ago, and I think he did it very successfully. It was interesting to us, especially when the trailer came out and we started doing the news, we felt the love for the prequels from the generation that grew up with them.

That’s fine, it’s funny that for many different generations, Ivan is their Kenobi. In some ways, they were more connected to him than to Sir Alec Guinness. I think it depends on the project and the specific actors.

is there an episode Obi-Wan Kenobi Will this surprise fans?

For any series, we will build a large arc. As the series goes on, I feel like the intensity will definitely increase as it goes on.

Is there any aspect legend Inspiration for this collection?

We tried to do a character-driven show and we saw something different. I’ve certainly seen a lot of stuff in the Expanded Universe. But for us, it’s about him first and foremost. If it’s organic to our story, we’ll bring in something, but we try not to bring in anything just for the sake of bringing it in.

“There are so many stories in the Star Wars galaxy.”

What Star Wars story would you like to bring outside of life Obi-Wan Kenobi?

At this point, honestly, I’m just looking for a vacation! I’ve made two at this point and they’re already very different. They are all amazing. But one of the coolest things about streaming and Disney+ is that there are more stories being told, with different perspectives and different creators. This is a big galaxy and a big timeline. There are many stories in the Star Wars galaxy. I think they can still be informed.

good lord! Well, it is possible! Potential.

Is Mace Windu still alive?

I don’t believe he is.

Where did Obi-Wan’s name “Ben” come from?

I have to recommend you to George Lucas. I will not speak for George.

Does Anakin know about Grog, considering they are the same age?

I have to introduce you to Jon [Favreau] and Dave [Filoni] For that reason.

We see young Luke in the trailer, but what is young Leia doing?

I mean, both of them are outside. They are obviously all in their respective corners of the galaxy. They are all doing their own thing.
