Sharon Osbourne thanked rapper Jamal Rajad for helping save his daughter Aimee’s life after a Hollywood studio fire that killed a young producer and injured two others.

Producer Nathan Avery Edwards – with Avery Drift as Professional – 26, died after a studio fire and two others were treated for smoke exposure.

The fire broke out at around 6.30pm on Thursday and it is unclear how it started.

According to the rapper’s wife, Osborn’s daughter Aimee, 38, was reportedly working with a producer at one of the studios when the fire broke out and she nearly had to jump out of the building.

The 69-year-old former X Factor judge shared her gratitude to the rapper for saving her daughter’s life on her Instagram Story on Friday, replying to comments from Rajad’s wife Pretty Face Ray’Ray, who is also a rapper.

Sharon wrote: “Your husband really saved her life for reminding her. Thank you @pretty.face.rayray.

Aimee, 38, paid tribute to Edwards in her story, writing:

In the original comment, Ray’Ray wrote: “Let my husband catch her [Aimee] So she can jump off the second floor after he yells to let everyone in the building know.glad she didn’t have to [JUMP] She is fine.

Ray’Ray added: “I’m still here, hopefully I can save our studio gear.”

Osborne also offered his condolences to Edwards’ family, writing in an Instagram post: “It’s heartbreaking that someone lost their life in this fire today. [and] we are praying to this man [and] their family. What happened today is horrible.

Dancing with the Stars host Carrie Ann Inaba responded to the post, writing: “Glad Aimee and her producers are safe…but my heart breaks for those who lost their lives, families and loved ones. To all of them, How terrifying it must be…”

Osbourne also described the building as “the creative hub of Hollywood music” and lamented the loss of equipment for the various artists working there.

She also called for improved fire safety in such buildings, after it was later discovered that the 100-year-old building had no sprinkler system.

“If there’s anything we can do, we’ll do it. I can’t put together the words to describe how horrible yesterday was.

There are reportedly several recording and rehearsal rooms in the structure, with thick walls and soundproofing, making it difficult for firefighters. CBS News.

LAFD Captain Eric Scott told CBS News, “The studio is soundproofed: thick walls, extra insulation, double drywall, and thick windows block all the heat and smoke, which makes it a A very hot and intense firefight.” “Our firefighters were beaten, but they put out the fire mercilessly.”

Seventy-eight firefighters extinguished the blaze within an hour. While fighting the fire, authorities found marijuana on the second floor. It is unclear whether this caused the fire, and investigators are looking into whether it was legal.

“I opened the door and I saw smoke coming from across the hall. I immediately reached for a jug of water. I threw it on the door and the flames broke out [sic]. I tried to get back to my room and grab whatever I could, but there were flames everywhere and we ran out of the building and that was it.

Aimee returned to the scene on Friday, where fire investigators were present, and Rajad was seen hugging Rajad, who is believed to have sounded the alarm on the fire.

“I’m my own smoke detector,” Rajad told los angeles times“I ran to my room, grabbed my stuff, left the door open, and tried to get my cat to come out and follow me.”

Rajad said he tried to go back to rescue his four cats, but the smoke was so thick that all the animals died.

Aimee and her music producer escaped the blaze, but both were treated for exposure to the smoke.
